Tim has been coaching for soccer for 8 years, but has been working with youth in various roles for more than 20 years.  Born and raised in central Maryland, Tim began playing club soccer at the age of 10 and continued to play competitively until college.  His clubs, Freedom, Seneca and Caspian Soccer Club, were highly successful and took him up and down the east coast, and eventually to both Sweden and Denmark for U14 and U16 youth tournaments. At that time, his club organized and managed summer training sessions for younger players, and Tim began serving as an assistant coach for teams of various age groups from U5 to U10 with both the Caspian and Freedom Soccer Clubs.  These experiences led him to a professional career developing and managing out-of-school programs for underserved youth in Washington, DC. Tim served as the Executive Director of For Love of Children from 2006 to 2018. He began coaching soccer when his sons first took up the game, beginning with the Soccer Association of Columbia Clinic Program in 2011. He currently holds an D-license and is planning to pursue the C-license this year. At SAC, Tim serves as head coach for the 2009 Premier White Boys, and he also serves as an assistant coach for the 2007 Boys Showcase Blue and 2004 Baltimore Armour Pre-Academy teams. Additionally, he supports various SAC Academy Camps and technical trainings for recreation players.

In fitness, Tim worked under the tutelage of Vic Selvaggi, of Kinetic Systems, LLC. Combining his passion for sport and functional fitness, Tim has and continues to pursue certifications in speed and agility, functional movement systems, and strength and conditioning.

Tim’s priority in coaching is to ensure we create an environment that fosters growth for clients; and a commitment to train with intention and function.  Success is not statistically driven, but derived from clients who are learning about themselves, building their overall strength and fitness, and maybe even finding some competitive fire to seek their best ability. His greatest measure of success as a coach is clients who want to come back and each session with more refined movement skills, awareness of the assets, a stronger sense of leadership, and a commitment to their own growth and development.
